If you’ve been dreaming about a wedding that’s romantic, intimate, and straight-up magical, Chapel Dulcinea might just be the spot. This open-air chapel in the Texas Hill Country brings Spanish-style charm, endless views, and zero need for over-the-top décor. As a Chapel Dulcinea preferred photographer, I’ve been there for tearful “I do’s,” golden hour kisses, and even post-ceremony champagne pops—and I’m here to share my top tips for making it unforgettable.
Start with what matters most
Before you deep-dive into all the details, pick your top three priorities. Maybe it’s breathtaking photos (hi, that’s me!), a romantic dinner afterward, or a cozy honeymoon. Build your budget and timeline around those things and keep the rest simple. One of the best parts? Chapel Dulcinea is free to reserve on weekdays, so you can splurge where it really counts.
Secure your date early
Chapel Dulcinea offers 90-minute ceremony reservations. Weekdays are free (with a $200 refundable deposit), while weekends and night-flame weddings have a fee. It’s one of the most popular venues in the Austin area, so book your date as soon as you’re ready. From there, everything else—getting ready, portraits, and celebrations—will be planned around that time slot.

Choose your dream light
Morning ceremonies at Chapel Dulcinea are quiet and softly lit, while golden hour gives you that warm, romantic glow. Both are gorgeous—it just depends on your vibe. I’ll help you plan a timeline that fits your light preference perfectly so you’re not rushed and every moment feels intentional.
Add personal touches
Want to bring your pup down the aisle? Ring the bell after your first kiss? Share cake with just your closest people? Chapel Dulcinea is the perfect blank canvas for whatever feels most like you. The grounds are full of photo-friendly spots—stone pathways, arches, tucked-away alcoves—so we’ll have plenty of variety without ever leaving the venue.
Plan for comfort
This is an open-air chapel, which means embracing Texas weather in all its moods. Bring water in the summer, a wrap in the winter, and your favorite playlist on a Bluetooth speaker for good vibes all around.
